1970. Podravka starts to prepare itself for pharmaceutical-chemical production, that is, creates the conditions for entering on a new strategic business area.
1971. The first modern drug factory is being built.
 1972. The factory begins to grow 
 1980. Fast growth and enlargement of production programs determine the building of a new factory in Koprivnica, and its HQ is there even today.
1999.
  • The new factory of solid drugs on 7.000 square meters is the largest and also the most important object in the pharmaceutical complex of Belupo on a total of 15.000 square meters. The factory enables the constant process of operational procedures that is, the flow of material and workers through the area that are physically connected, and that makes Belupo unique in this part of Europe. Advantage: closed system, impossibility of contact of the operator and the substance, gravitational dosing, flexible and quick exchange of one drug with another in order to meet the market terms, saving and innovation when producing new series, graduation of production course, modular concept that enables building-up of capacity, integrated warehouse with computer surveillance.
  • The factory satisfies the world standards of good manufacturing practice(GMP), demands of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), demands of European Pharmaceutics Inspection Convention (PIC) and regulations of the Medicine Law of the Republic of Croatia. 
 2002. The Daughter Company in Slovenia with HQ in Ljubljana is being established
 2003.

  • OTC NEWS Marketing& Creative Award 2002., Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Grand Global the Best in Healthcare Communication Worldwide 2002, The New York Festivals, New York, U.S.A.
  • The Daughter Company in Slovakia with HQ in Bratislava was established.
 2004. The new factory that produces cremes, ointments, lotions and  gel starts work

 

2005.

2007.    Opening of Pharmacy chain DELTIS PHARM

2008.    Acquisition of majority share in Farmavita Ltd, Bosnia&Hercegovina for distribution,

              primary/secondary packaging
